Over at Touchstone magazine’s blog Mere Comments, there’s a very interesting thread that asks the question: what five books would you want to have with you on a desert island? Rather than dump mine into their now very extensive comments column, I thought I’d list mine here, and invite readers to offer theirs. I grant the Bible as a freebie. So what would be my other five?
2) The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
3) A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller
4) The Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin
5) Total Baseball by John Thorn, et. al.
So, what say you?
