As I told my daughter last night, this has got to be just about the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. It comes via Stand Firm (whose Greg Griffth clearly has way too much time on his hands), and has to be seen and heard to be believed. It’s a video of the Finnish rock group Leningrad Cowboys (who started out as a work of cinematic fiction a la Spinal Tap, but morphed into a real band at some point) at the 1994 MTV Music Awards, singing the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic “Sweet Home, Alabama” backed up by a 70-member contingent from the Red Army Choir.
Enjoy, comrades!
