Well, the deadline has come and gone, and guess what? The Eastern Hemisphere has not been hit with super earthquakes, millions of Christians are still alive and well on Planet Earth, and Harold Camping has–again–been shown for the cultist that he is. Surprise!

Family radio’s site seems to have disappeared … how ironic.

Of course that is probably just the high traffic …

It’s still there. Just keep trying, it took me a couple minutes to get connected the first time, too.

YES… THE DEAD LINE HAS COME… BUT YOU CAN NOT DENY THAT HE GOT THE WHOLE WORLD THINKING…. THAT IS GOOD.

He got the whole world thinking that Christians are idiots. I wouldn’t call that an accomplishment to be proud of.

Yeah – I can get on it now.
Even if it got people thinking, I tend to believe he has done far more harm than good.
It got people accustomed to regarding the return of Jesus Christ as a fable / false alarm. (Yes – I realize he was talking about the rapture, but by implication he was talking about a whole series of events.)
People can have legitimate differing interpretations of specific details, but the whole church universal has always affirmed the literal return of Jesus Christ. He now give more ammunition to those who want to mockingly dismiss that.
Even worse, in spite of the clear teaching of the Bible, a whole host of Christians seem to have been duped by him.

The reason I say that is even worse is that Christians should have known better … People unfamiliar with the Bible have some excuse.
