I want to say I envy the Catholic priest, because when they have someone in confession it’s all kept secret. When I have somebody asking me for advice, it spreads worldwide and it’s misunderstood.

Well, did he say exactly how he was misunderstood? I’d be willing to listen to any explanation he could give, though it seemed clear enough to me.

I saw a video response which said he’s against divorce, and that this was an isolated situation he was addressing. It didn’t help. The explanation in the link provided above is what I heard, and reading it again still doesn’t help. I don’t think he was misunderstood. He should just admit that he gave bad advice. We’ve all done that. Sin can be forgiven. I think the apostle John says something about confession in his first letter. The comment about envying a Catholic Priest is also strange. He gives advice on national television and then complains when people know about it. Seems a bit odd. Does he realize that he’s on TV?
